In Mumbai, you walk into an ice cream-milkshake joint, order for whatever you want, and have it. In Pune..? No!!
You have to pay 20 bucks extra as deposit for the milkshake glass!
Who in the world is going to run away with a milkshake glass???
On second thought, it's Pune, maybe people do nick glasses from restaurants etc.

Is the deposit refundable?
If its not, the milkshake better be damn good.
Judging from past experiences & the whole idea of customer being an ass, I am not expecting much from the milkshake either. I think they shud start paying deposits to customers for buying their milkshake or at least the premium for their medical insurance (for possible irreparable taste bud damage)

ya it was refundable.
but no, the milkshake was strictly ok. you know they have this thing called Cad-M and Cad-B, which we later found out is actually Cadbury-Milk, and Cadbury-Bitter.
frankly, i would prefer the real chocolate :)
does it make any business sense to have a deposit for every glass? Imagine, someone has to treat 10 of his/her friends. he/she will need 200 bucks instead of 100 in his pocket to got there. if he/she does not have that much money, they wouldn't got there.. won't they loose more customers in the process, and loose money instead of gaining by way of a deposit?
do people really break those many glasses anyway?
