Liking a guy.
And liking the idea that you like a guy
Are two seperate things.
Or, are they?

I dont know anything about liking guys, but I certainly do know about liking girls.
Liking the idea of liking a [person] postdates liking the [person]. I say this because logically u dont know u like the [person] until u like that [person], but once u know u like that [person] u will know whether to like the idea or not.
Anyway, enough torture-logic there, bottomline is
u like the guy, u like the guy (dont worry about liking the idea or not)
njoy the moment :D
both are different. the former is what it is, the latter - well it depends a lot on liking the idea that you like [the] guy or [a] guy.
and i would say, liking the idea could be a precursor as well (in addition to what raunak says); may be an extra check step before establishing firmly that you like the guy.
whatever the situation; enjoy the moment [:D]
This post originated out of a usual girls-only discussion with my best friends and is a purely hypothetical one, i.e. the guy here is imaginary.
But, the fact that all the girls related to this idea and knew what i was talking about made me realize its just not me who has had such a thought.
But since only females were happened to be present when this discussion happened, i wonder what most guys think, do they think that liking someone and liking the idea of liking someone are 2 separate things; which we tend to mix up sometimes?
